EXACTLY!!! And as per a previous comment posted after mine..... you won't have to bring your guns to the smelter... after the antis take all the black guns and handguns away you think they're just gonna stop??? The govt. will melt them down for you sir.

Since when has a war been won using strictly defensive tactics???? The antis are after our guns and all most gun owners are doing is sitting back and thinking that they only want the scary looking ones... naive as hell but watcha want...

Great hunter. Yes? Fine figure of a man. Yes?
Good. That is all you need to know. For now.

the range or showcase hell ya, hunting would not be caught dead with it, I would hate for people to get the wrong impression of hunters, hope nobody takes offence but I personally dont even like seeing SKS's in the field, Im sure they do a fine job but not for my hunting adventures, just wouldn't feel right, I have alot firearms but some are designated for the range only and others for hunting. not trying to pi$$ anyone off but just my $0.02.
If hunting is a sport, than I'm an athlete.

Be AWARE that our police monitor our comments on here.
If someone was found in or near our camp, with that gun the locals would give them a ride out of the area on the nearest

If it works and it's legal use it. I would and the rest of the world can bite my butt. Really guys, we've got enough problems from the anti's without the shooting community tearing itself apart. To each their own as long as your legal and safe.

The Tavor may look stupid to some but it's design is superb. Carbine length but a full size barrel, well balanced not front heavy, and modern synthetics that can take any weather you throw at it. Just get a 5 round magazine and your good to go. Sure it's not traditional but at some point neither were semi's, pumps, levers, bolts, etc. It's all a matter of timing.

All that being said I'll stick with my '81 BLR.

All the same public opinion of hunters is what could possibly make it easier to obtain hunting permission or to not obtain it and with a gun like that dont get me wrong i think it is a sharp lookin gun but i would never take it hunting. Now i know its legal but perception goes a long way

If you havent realized it we are being conditioned to be afraid. So in 150 years if things continue I doubt the fruit of, the fruit of your loins will be throwing paper aeroplanes.

As a matter of course the firearms community does that quite admirably. If you have a PAL you are proven an honest and responsible individual. How many other members of our society are so obviously card carrying good guys?

Before all this Liberal crap, I use to walk right out my back door to ground hog hunt with an AR15 and two 30 round clips. Those were the days.....

All you nay sayers. What do you say about Ruger's Mini 14 and Mini 30? Are they too militant looking to hunt with IYO?

I for one can't keep up with all the changes to the regs. Last time I looked anything with a "bullpup" style action was a prohib. It may now be legal but I imagine you would waste a lot of your time (and my tax money) in the local cop shop before you convinced everyone. Then you would face the same thing when you changed areas to another detachment....
I have a few older milsurps myself, but they all look like I intend to hit my target, first shot, not lay down a "field of fire". Did like using the M15 for plinking though....

I do agree it wasn't a good choice of words for your intro.
Not sure I want to get into this one as I feel you put this on to stir the pot
I have been lurking here for a couple of months, just to read up on all the good info on hunting in Ontario as I am new to the country and only just got my permanent residence permit. My mother was right when she said that I best keep my mouth shut, look what happened

    Anyway, thanks for the welcome
