Question Question: Can I use anterless seal in bow or controlled hunt?

Hi, I have a simple question I think.. And i think I know the answer however just want to confirm.

This is for my wife not me.

Can she apply for to the Antlerless deer validation tag draw in order to hunt during the Bow Season for WMU 90A?
    • I am assuming this is a simple yes.

Assuming she receives a deer seal for a anterless deer (buck or doe) to use during the Bow Hunt, but is not successful in harvesting a deer, will she be able to use that anterless deer seal during the Controlled Hunt (WMU 90A Shotgun 1st week of December)?
    • This is assuming she receives a tag in order to hunt in the controlled hunt after applying for it.

    Thanks in advance.

#1 No. the antlerless draw allows the hunter to shoot either a buck or doe ( not a extra tag ) and it's good during the bow season. Some zone do sell extra control hunt tags, only good for the control hunt, than good for tag soup. Don't worry ,all the tags are clearly marked, what their good for.

Ok, if she buys a license she gets a game seal for an antlered deer anywhere in Ontario. This game seal is the seal she would be using on a deer in a controlled hunt whereby the validation for the controlled hunt will tell her what she can put that game seal on. Now, if she applies for an antlerless deer validation when she buys a license this does not change that this original game seal is for an antlered deer anywhere in Ontario and the game seal to be used for the controlled hunt. If she is successful in an antlerless deer draw and the validation is put on that original game seal the she can use that original game seal on an antlered deer anywhere in Ontario, for antlerless deer that the validation states (season and WMU) or during a controlled hunt based on the rules of the validation of that controlled hunt.

Additional game seals are specific to the WMU, antlered or antlerless and season, the general game seal that you get when you buy the license follows the rules above.

Farmers and family members do not have to apply for the CONTROL HUNT LOTTERY. They have a guaranteed tag by filling out a form and applying by Oct.3 of the year.

Where did he say anything about farmers and family?

You brought it up, there is actually 2 pools for validation tags, one for farmers and one for everyone else, if you are a farmer/landowner or direct family member you have the farmer/landowner fill out the form with your information included and you will get your validation through the "landowner" hunt, the controlled hunt is drawn after this landowner hunt.

you should read all the post. I'm well aware of the rules and regulations, but not all hunters are.

She will buy a license and apply for an antlerless validation.
She will apply for the controlled hunt and if successful will she be able to use her game seal with the antlerless validation on a deer during the controlled hunt.

Nothing there says family of a farmer/landowner, I have no clue from this if NvD if he is a farmer/landowner in a WMU that has a controlled hunt.

My father is a landowner in a controlled hunt zone, I "apply" on his application for the farmer/landowner application but my fiancee has to apply on the standard hunt. After we are married she still has to apply for the standard hunt, the landowner hunt does not go beyond immediate family.
