175-Pound Pit Bull Hulk Shatters Misconceptions About the Breed

This dog just may be the world's largest Pit Bull. Only 18-months-old, Hulk weighs a hefty 175 pounds.
Despite his intimidating size, his owners Marlon Grannan and his wife Lisa Grannan say Hulk is a sweet family dog and a best friend to their 3-year-old son Jordan.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Inside that massive head is a brain about the size of a tangerine, I would never live with an animal that could bend me over the table.

Good grief that is a big dog. If my JRT was that big , he'd be telling me to move out; he's in charge.

I don't know anyone would want to have a dog like this other then to kill. Thank god it wasn't one of those kids.

Some of you have some serious ignorance towards the Pittbull breed, and I'm not saying that aggressively it's a very understandable ignorance. Which most revolves around the media. The fact of the matter is that yes Pittbulls do attack people but so does every other dog breed out there. Newspapers and tv stations know that the word pittbull draws attention which makes them money, more people each year are sent to the hospital by chiawawa golden labs and mutts.Pittbulls also have the best score results in temperament testing. These dogs were bred solely to fight other dogs in England it was a big thing way back when but the dogs were also considered "nanny dogs" as the owners of these fighting dogs would often leave their dog with there children. And no they do not have " locking jaws" that is an old wives tale

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I have seen a pit bull wander aimlessly around a baseball diamond and every mother and father grabbed their kids and run for high ground which was the top of the bleachers. One of the fathers tried to chase it off but it turned on him, even after he smoked it with a bat it just kept coming. Cops put it down. A lady I worked with was cornered and attacked badly by her own pit bull and needed over 100 stitches. Cops put it down. I was in the east coast when a 4 year old girl was grabbed by a rotty tied up in her own back yard right across the street,(she was raised with that dog) it had her by the throat and it was thankfully over quick. RCMP put it down at the fathers request, I still have nightmares. I still love dogs, just not those type of dogs and honestly I have developed a bit of a fear with anything that resembles those dogs. Shame on me! Savage308
