HUNTING DUCKS OR GEESE UNDER ONE COULD BE A BIT OF A STRETCH!
but shooting through the turning blades would only add to the challenge!
and if the blade whacked'em he'd be 1/2 cleaned!
If you keep doing what you've always done. You'll keep getting what you've always got!

3 windmills on the one 200 acre farm we hunt. I like the windmill laneways for getting down closer to the bush. The farmer has the contract for snow blowing it all the time so its always cleaned out for me too.
Be careful after freezing rain. I have seen spots in wide open fields where huge shards of ice have came off the blades when they first start turning after rain or a flash freeze.

Well a buddy of mine and the group he hunts with lost their deer hunting area around Shelburne, they were told by the OPP that the area is off limits to hunting and they would be charged with trespassing if they didn't leave . This happened a number of years ago and to this date no one hunts there.
There are is a lot of turbines in the area 100 plus ? this may have something to do with it , I don't know as I do not hunt there.

In that case, they were likely on OPG or Hydro property. It would definitely be a restricted area the same as any other generating station. Many turbines are on private property and leased. As such, these properties may be hunted with owner's permission.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

All the turbines in Dufferin County are owned by foreign companies and are on private leased land including the 100+ in the Shelburne area that Jaycee is referring to. None of the turbines in this area are owned by OPG or Hydro. Not sure what the deal is if the OPP are chasing people off.

Deal is only a safety factor. "shards of ice" and as on the hydro lines "private property". I can pretty much guarantee the cops are hard pressed to find a proper by-law or legitimate law that makes the point. For all of our sakes..........If you or an O.P.P.officer and belong to this forum, feel free to educate us on this matter. Savage308

We have hundreds of pinwheels in Chatham-Kent. I know of a landowner who refused to sign a contract for his farm, because there is a no hunting clause in the fine print. We hunt around them all winter for coyotes. We haven't been approached by anyone, even their security people don't bother. I heard at one time that the companies were trying to get legislation that prohibited hunting within 1000 meters of a turbine.......that would pretty much end all hunting in Charham-Kent, so I can't see that being any more than rumours !

Get the right politicians involved and they will do whatever they want until the complaints get too loud....then the lawyers get involved.
sometimes the police find it easier to make an "on the spot" ruling just because they keep getting phone calls from a local with pull....
