Years ago one of my hunting buddies put up a wooden tree stand way back in the woods - on public land - he didn't think anyone would go back there so far - but eventually some guy got let off along the turnpike and came in from that direction - well my buddies goes to use the tree stand one day and some guy is sitting in it - my buddy tells the guy that he put up the stand and wants to use it - the guy in the stand ignores my buddy - so after telling the guy to get off he puts a lot of dead branches around the tree and starts a fire - the guy in the stand gets down and walks away - never say a word to my buddy - I always thought that was a good way to get your point across =

So how's that different than the guy with the chain saw. Your buddy is a dumdazz too in my books. Stand built on public land becomes public domain and if someone decides to use it you better be big enough to walk away.
