Definitely a wide range of professions on this site.
I am a licensed carpenter who works in the industrial/commercial aspect of the trade. I have had my hands in building hospitals, courthouses , hydro dams , retail stores etc... And I love it all ( but heavy civil work is my fav, ie hydro dams )

No, just a monkey on the treadmill like anyone else, but will say there's a member of the forums, who after watching that movie figured out which shop I work for and who the top dog is.
Surprised the help out of me when I got the PM and I am rarely caught by surprise.

I was told I was a walking heart attack at 39. Back in those days I was involved with Futures, in the office before 7am and home at 7pm.When you lose a million dollars in 1 second...Have known many to burn out young or die young. Our industry takes a certain amount of thick skin.. For myself I learned some things some years ago....I sweat very little in life anymore.

I do though wonder if I made the right decisions

High school teacher for 13 years now. Have worked at 3 different schools, been at the current one 10 years now.

Excellent pay/benefits, poor work environment, essentially zero chance of moving schools/provinces now with almost no teaching jobs available anywhere

Great if your passion is fishing, much less so if it is hunting.
