The transaction fee isn't ideal, but it's still far cheaper than me having to drive 20 mins to a service ont kiosk and then purchase the tags. My time plus gas is significantly more than $2.00

You'd still be paying the fee if you bought in person.
Will this fee be charged wherever these hunting and fishing products are sold?
Yes. This $2 service fee will be charged wherever hunting and fishing products are sold – online, by phone and in-person purchases at a ServiceOntario counter or at a private licence issuer.

Very unlikely to happen. I believe the cut off date for online licence purchase is April 6th, so even Canada Post should be able to get it to you on time
So many critters & so little time to hunt......

If you are buying a license for the first time after recently completing your course, I would buy in person, as the online system may not have your updated info yet. I always like to buy my turkey tag in person at the local license issuer near the opening date, as they usually have printed copies of the new hunting regs in by that time to hand out as well.

Have you purchased a tag previously? Or is this your first time? (i.e just took the course, etc)
