^^^^^^^^^^ This. and we would appoint a range officer and lay down the safety rules as Jeff suggested and perhaps limit the number of people shooting at one time to say 4 or 5 ?

that.
Would think that with standard safety rules, maybe a little more (trigger locks) off the line and limited shooters/hot guns at any one time. No one should feel uncomfortable.

This seems reasonable. However, when Jeff made the OP, he hadn't specified that. I would think you would also need to make sure everyone shooting had their membership cards readily available. There are a few forum members who aren't OFAH members and while I doubt they would show up, someone who isn't a OFAH might get wind of it and show up and this is where your problems come into effect I think. However, I am not a lawyer so this remedy might not be legally binding or remove the liability issue (if there is any).

Well. I have access to a beauty abandoned quarry on crown. But there's no way in heck im sharing that spot.
If we get enough interest I can always see about getting some space at my club ( Barrie). I'm an RCO, so can oversee the safety side.

I have my OFAH membership but didn't mention that as an prerequisite as I didn't want to exclude anyone. If it's a requirement then that is the route we would need to go.
I'm just throwing the idea out there, if anyone wants to run with it that works for me. I'd me more then happy to help manage / run.
If it comes down to renting out a club I'm equally good with that. Everyone throw in what ever $ is required and see if we can't shoot for a few hours and get a BBQ going...

We have 8 ranges available. Most aren't in use except a couple over the weekends. Typically guests pay $10 for the day, and have to fill out a waiver, ( and be signed in by a member).
Given the circumstances, I'd probably get our executive's approval 1st, but if we get down to that I can always deal with that then.

Would you mind being involved to make arrangements?
How many participants would you estimate to be reasonable?

1. Sure.
2. If ever there was a loaded question....
How about this, we see what respondents come back with, and if interested. I'll speak to our executive to get the ball rolling.

You're a good man, thanks for stepping up.
I'm in. I can track the numbers / names / prizes?
I can't do anything in April but I'm good for May. I'm assuming due to turkey season that a Sunday might be the best option.
If more guys are available in April I'll still help out but would have to miss the event due to work obligations.
