As mentioned. Have nothing against bb, was loyal for 10 years, but was time to try something else.

Loving my Samsung Galaxy S5.....mind you my previous phone was the old Captivate. Even switched my wife off iPhone to the Android and she loves it.
As for a case I bought a LifeProof one for my phone as I will have it on the water and while storm chasing so greater chance of it meeting water

I promote Samsung so.much you'd swear I had stock (I dont).
I have the Samsung galaxy s5 active. Waterproof shockproof and dust proof (mil spec rated). Great camera and phone overall. It is my GPS mapping camera communication all in one. The battery life is good too.

I got the galaxy s5 for the wife, after warning her she won't like the battery life, but it's surprisingly good. Previous S series were terrible.

Same phone here. It seems to be handling the rough and tumble pretty well thus far. Not overly impressed with my battery life though. I can't get the whole day out of it however I do use it quite a bit. I average about 2 hours of talk in a day and use it for my calculations and such.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Are you closing down the apps that run in the background? Thst makes a big difference and turning wifi off definitely helps, if you have a decent amount of data. I keep wifi and Bluetooth off.

Yes. I'm always sure not to leave the apps running, WiFi is off when I'm not home and I hate Bluetooth anything. I have even set up my power saving option so the screen is greyscale.
Will see how the warmer weather factors in.

buy a after market battery... im assuming they still do it, they put low capacity battery in the phone, phone dies early, you buy a new phone... first thing i did was put a better battery in it... as mentioned, still using a S2...

I have the s4, love the phone! battery life not so much, I've gone from lasting the day on my battery, to lasting a few hrs. But I still over all I love the Samsung Galaxy's. Good phones!
Iphones on the other hand, I'm not a fan of. Had the battery explode in one, ruined the phone. Had another one, and didn't mind the new one, but just don't like the way apple runs. I like more freedom to customize.
I will stick with the s4 till I kill this one!
