Good luck TR, you're going to have the best hunt ever with Myles with you in the blind.

I'll add my 2 cents though, from 2 years in the woods with Wesley, bring snacks, drinks, if he has a portable game, not a bad idea. But the most important thing to bring is toilet paper and wipes for your hands. Kids seem to pick the best times to announce that they need to poop. We've left at least one pile in the woods courtesy of Wesley....

Have fun and be safe, can't wait to see the photos,

Oh yeah, pack your Turkey Tuques....

couldn't agree more.. have been scouting the past few weeks and it's just as exciting to sit there and hear the forest come to life with all those thunderous gobbles.. i am ultra pumped this year, as my 11 year old boy will be joining us.. he is studying in preparation for his apprenticeship license and will be out with us for a few hunts.. can't wait.. last weekend scouting he joined us, sat with a very very proud grandpa, and it was a great day.. he got to hear a ton of gobbles, even saw 4 toms and a few deer about 60 feet from him.. it's not even hunting season and he's hooked big time.. all the best to all who venture out..

Don't forget to use face paint on him. Nothing like face paint to make the little guy feel like a predator......
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Yes don't forget this very important part of the hunt. My youngest (we call Mickey Mayhem) made sure we had the face paint as it was to be stored in his turkey hunting pack. He is going to do the turkey course tomorrow evening in Lindsay. He is excited to know that come MONDAY APRIL 27th he will be applying the face paint for what we are hoping to be his first turkey tipping experience. Cherish these days TR as sooner than you think Myles will be doing the same. Good luck to you fine folks and may the turkey gods be good to ya's.

My most memorable bird was the one taken with my son beside me. For three years it seemed that I could never connect with him with me and would fill the tag when I was solo. He was starting to blame himself for our lack of success when together. 2 years ago I shot a Jake with him and while it wasn't a huge bird, his smile and the memory made has made that one must favorite. He did his course two weeks ago and will be holding the gun this year. Hope we make another memory.
