I will be as well. Remember when doing your shopping post your quotes in fact tell them your posting it.

2007 Honda Foreman 500 at Angler's and Hunters Insurance is $357 - fire, theft, 1 million liability, and collision. $500 deductible on collision, $300 on comp. Thought about having no collision and changed my mind - eg. you'd have no coverage for trailering if someone hits you, your trailer blows a tire and flips, etc., or you yourself rack it up. Just happened to a guy I know - he got hit on the road while trailering his 2014 Honda and he's now out $13K on the machine (and his bush buggy)because he was not carrying collision.

Any one just paying for Liability?/ I don't care about fire or theft. I just want the bare minimum.

If you have it in a trailer and someone hits you while your driving down the road it is covered by your regular insurance. Same if it is your yard and it's stolen it falls under house insurance.

If someone steals it while I am in the woods it will be street justice.

Yes, they have all my vehicles. I've found most companies won't offer coverage (or give a decent rate) unless you have your primary vehicles with them.

My insurance agent explained to me that if my atv is in the box of my truck and I have an accident, my truck insurance would pay out because it would be considered part of my contents. If pulling a trailer with my atv in it, and I was in an accident, my atv would not be covered for damages unless it had its own collision coverage. My truck insurance is not applicable, as the trailer is a separate vehicle needing its own insurance. Not sure if this is the case with all companies or is just specific to some.

The way my agent explained that to me is if it has a Provincial license plate it is considered a motor vehicle and needs it's own policy. Even my utilty trailer has a policy for theft. I learned this the hard way when somebody stole it out of my driveway with my snowmobile in it. Sled had it's own policy but the trailer did not qualify under my home policy. You may want to get written confirmation of this to avoid an unpleasant surprise.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
