So should the cops shoot every bear that wanders through Timmins? Sudbury? Cochrane? I mean those towns/cities have schools and children too.

Do they use "carding", or "profiling" to question these random bears like they do with minorities in Toronto? How do they know the three strikes violators?

in those communites police rarely have to get involved with a nuiscance bear , and actually one was shot in north bay last year... just dosent make the national news up here...

with a crowd of people around and a scared bear, the police did what was needed, maybe if people hadnt crowded around to watch the cute cuddle teddy bear in the tree, the police wouldnt have needed to shoot...

im all for relocateing bears... they relocated some here a few years ago... deliscious
    fishy steve

A.) Kinda my point, that it doesn't make national news.
B.) They shot the only one that wandered through town?

They don't harass the polar bears, they use "carding" and (not) "profiling" only on the black bears...I mean dark coloured bears, I mean.....non-white bears.
