Don't trust it...Everyone of them jumps through hoops to apply. We cheer for a MNRF fully staffed and at strength ......and then because of cuts to the budget no new people can be hired and current people will be laid off.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

This is a dream job for many people. I know I would love to do this. Unfortunately, there are too many requirements that I simply do not have.
Anyone interested in this should also keep in mind that the job will drastically cut into your fishing and hunting time, because that's when they're busiest. I've met some CO's though. It can be a very fun job. It can also be dangerous at times, but very rewarding.

Too big of a paycut

You come to a point in life when you realize $$ isn't everything.
That following your dreams far surpasses chasing the greenback.
That doing what makes you happy, surpasses all else.
That Socrates said: "“Thou shouldst eat to live; not live to eat.” for good reasons.
Me?
Id take the pay cut, a hefty one at that in a heartbeat

I realized money isn't everything a long time ago, but it sure makes pursuing your interests much easier.
Things like travel, high quality equipment to name a few are easier.
I work to live, it will never be the other way for me
