Good eating?! Cooked one once when I was young, smelled like turkey in the oven, tasted like sh.t!!

I tried giving my dog some cooked woodcock, fried in bacon no less, and all she did was walk circles around it. Wouldn't touch it. And this is from a dog that has eaten her own poop!

The forecast is for cooler temperatures and NW & N winds the next couple days. Time to get serious this weekend!

Think the whole week should be prime Thursday calling for high 18'C Anything pushed down should rest up before their next push. Going to go tomorrow. Looking promising.

Just got back from a moose hunt in Temiskaminge Quebec ( 1 hr East of North Bay) and moved woodcock every day. Wasn't hunting them and didn't have my dog but saw plenty flying the bush roads at dusk and had a couple living on the soft green lawn of the camp I stayed in. So there are still some decent numbers 500 kms North East of the GTA. Should have just brought a shotgun and the dog, never saw a moose.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
