    never had an issue using my PAL as ID
    after all it's a federal photo ID

    Sorry if this long but had to reply Me and the wife voted with our pal told the mouthy old bat that we agree with her on gun control that she was spouting that is we will control our guns not the dam liberals shut her up quickly left her with a shocked look on her face and a pile of people changing their minds when we told them what the liberals wanted to do about gun control and will spend millions if not billions of dollars again on stupitity

    I was told the opposite. A PAL is not acceptable photo ID because it is a user submitted photo, ie you could submit a photo of someone else along with your credentials. A health card photo is taken and submitted by an agent of the government, ie Service Ontario, just the same as your driver license photo. I'm not sure what to believe about using either of these for photo ID.

    It may be user submitted but it still needs to be a "certified/stamped" by the photographer. Whomever gave you that info was mistaken.

    I forgot my passport crossing the Bluewater Bridge and handed my PAL over to the border guard. Ran it through the system and said have a nice day to me. He didn't ask for any other identification.

    I tried to use a PAL last election and it was refused.
    I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

    According to elections canada a fire arms licence PAL is acceptable....

    The reason why a PAL isn't accepted often is that it doesn't have your address...

    I have used mine to vote in the past with no problems.
