    Me too!

Put up 5 this morning and got 2. I noticed they were very skittish and were flushing 10-20 yards ahead of me which made for tough shooting. I usually walk in a zig-zag and pause every so often but they got nervous and flushed way ahead so I just plowed through in a straight line. Not sure if this makes sense but it helped!

Get yourself a dog or at the very least borrow one way more fun. FYI mine comes with a handler free of charge.

I'm the other way. I see you're in Vaughan.... do you hunt anywhere around that area or east towards me? I would be willing to travel a bit, but Hullet is fairly far. I am about 2 hours east of you. Would love to actually go with an experienced woodcock hunter. I am hunting blind, other than the dog. I'm sure I could learn a lot more about proper woodcock cover from an experienced hunter.

I had a wonderful GSP for 12 years - 2013 was her last season. I've been doing a LOT of dogging this year so I might take you up on that offer!

Must break your heart..... twice. Once when you lost her. Now when your hunting without her. Honestly I couldn't/wouldn't do it if it wasn't for the dog.
