You know where he has been rubbing so play the wind right and dont trample through his area too much or he will go nocturnal and that will be the end of seeing him for a while. The rut is starting so get a spot ready and he will be all over that field looking for does.

Your in the Amersturg area. They hold some good mature deer because of the bow only. About 4.5 years old .probably dress out 220 or 240. Excellent buck. I can't see the drow tines but they should be their, a wall hanger 8 . Hunt with the wind and you may have a chance.

Hard to tell with one photo, but I would put him at 4. I hunt both Kentucky and Ontario every year and you have to be careful listening to the americans when talking about aging deer. Deer in Canada age much differently because of the heavy burden that winter puts on their bodies. They put body mass on first, and then the racks don't start showing up until 3 or 4. If he is 3, he's one heckuva 3 and you should take him unless you have deer you would rather chase, or are confident he will still be around next year...
    Good Luck!

Thanks for the info we hunted twice but no sight of any deer yet. Lots of rubs some srapes and lots of tracks and scat. Set up trail cams today. Were hoping to get sum evidence they are sticking around because the cornis off so less cover maybe they moved on..time will tell
