I've read on other forums of guys working up loads using smokless in the Ultimate, but nothing that Remington will sanction.
Wonder what the Rem barrel is proofed to....
Savage is 108,000 PSI
My other is 80,000 PSI
I read somewhere most black powders are proofed around 28,000....

I read that because it's cleared to shoot 200 gr of BP....x4 50gr pellets....it has to be rated well above 40,000.
The 200-grain four pellet charge being promoted by Remington/Ultimate Firearms could be pushing pressures above 40,000 p.s.i. (Due largely to the first three pellets also pushing an unburnt fourth pellet, in addition to the bullet, down the bore.

I have pretty much settled on the accura mr. I liked the way it felt and looked and the price is not terrible. The TC is sweet but 300.00 more and no strap or scope mount. I am looking at 1 other idea as well. I can get the TC encore for about the same as the cva but I didnt actually look at it so I,m not sure how it compares. So unless it is hands down nicer then the cva I will likely be getting the accura v2 mr.

The reason I did not look at that one is because it had the TH stock which I am not a fan of.I looked online though and realized it could be ordered with a conventional stock so it is still on the short list.I dont see much difference between it and the pro hunter so I assume the quality would be the same.
