Amazing isn't it how McSquinty and Wynnbag can slip and slide their way out of having any involvement whatsoever in the decisions to cancel the plants.

There's a strong possibilty that McGuinty had no knowledge the same way Harper had no knowledge of Wallin and Duffy. It may very well have been one those "don't tell the boss about this" deals. Having said that, even if they're convicted (by some minor miracle) my bet is they get a summary conviction and $200 fine each. End of story.

I'm betting the liberals pay their legal fees behind the scenes so indirectly we pay the costs.

Yes time to get a new popcorn maker and sit back and watch the soap opera unfold. McGuinty , no where in the radar had nothing to do with this, RIGHT! Wynn has change procedures , so lets hear them Kate!

The bigger question is this - how was Tim Hudak not able to beat either McGuinty or Wynne in an election? Mind boggling. Conservative loyalists must wish a more marketable candidate had been put forth as the election was there for the taking both times before "Tea Party Tim" bungled it.
Easy, you do not make a platform speech announcing you will reduce the number of redundant public servants by 150000 prior to be elected, you do it after the election like the Liberals. You get into bed with the teachers and police unions by telling them their contracts will be renewed and renege on the promise. You own the press which slants all things Liberal and the golden horseshoe population eat it up. In other words you a Liberal and you can do this.

Laying charges is one thing. Finding a Judge that wasn't appointed by the Liberals to try the case will be the next big challenge
Yelp, this will be interesting now with junior in Ottawa and know nothing Wynn in Toronto.

Next time in town I`m getting a new popcorn maker, unless Santa brings one.

That is the only interesting aspect to all of this. Here we are 5 years after the fact and they are finally charging someone.
As is always the case its fall guys and scapegoats. Don't hold your breath waiting for McGuinty or Wynne to be charged. The political masters always skate.

The fact its taken this long speaks volumes after the OPP dragged their heels, gave them all kinds of latitude, notice of "raids", etc. See also sudbury and "no evidence of wrong doing"….to "oh, yes there is".Once the public heard the same tapes they listened to but swept under the rug.

Remind me please why start at $100,000…and detectives earn….

    As for the public.
Well first we have the centre of Universe GTA easily bought and don't seem much to care (though the left leaning hated Ford).
Then we have Unions and Public servants who despite so much evidence, despite so many problems, despite so many scandals (Ehealth/Orng etc) and warnings about spending, debt, cost, Don Drummond, Credit agencies.

Put self importance, self entitlement ahead of everything and everyone else.

Fast forward to today and a god awful mess that extends way beyond just corruption. From massive screw ups in Hydro, huge problems in Healthcare, exploding taxation and more…And where just regular everyday folk (especially those outside Toronto where jobs aren't as plentiful or well paying)…And well, there ya go

Well with all the records destroyed its a "he said, she said" kind of deal.....

I bet it goes something like this......

My understanding was I thought they wanted me to do that (wipe the computers clean) no they just wanted you to wipe out viruses.....oh I'm sorry....my bad I misunderstood their directions, sorry.....

with no records the big fish won't fry.... even the little guys won't get burned, just sun tanned on our dime....

The OPP sat on it until she was re-elected. Now there is enough time left in her mandate that the voters will forget and the GTA approve of this anyway. Most Crown prosecuters and likely half the judges wouldn't want to take her on anyway. I still suspect contract negotiations with the OPP must not be going well for this to move forward.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
