Side by sides are now considered dune buggies and dune buggies are now considered atv's....hence side by sides are now atv's. This passed in the spring. I carry the paperwork in my Teryx but will retrieve it and post the appropriate sections over the weekend. However, individual municipalities can still pass their own bylaws regarding them as can clubs.

I'm looking forward to seeing this. I know a few friends with UTV's who have been waiting for the changes.

I call Shenanigans!
if this were true, then why were side by side vehicles even mentioned in MPP Crack's motion? And why was it being set for debate on November 7 2013 if this was passed in the spring.
copy and pasted from legislative assembly of Ontario's website
" Ballot Item Number 55 – To be debated November 7, 2013.Private Members' Notice of Motion Number 48
Avis de motion numéro 48 émanant d'un député
Mr. Crack — That, in the opinion of this House, the operation of off-road vehicles on highways under Regulation 316/03 be changed to include side-by-side off-road vehicles, four seat side-by-side vehicles and two-up vehicles in order for them to be driven on highways under the same conditions as other off-road/all-terrain vehicles."

MTO was contacted after the 7 Nov and they have absolutely to inclination to add SXS, 2 UPS or any other configuration to the regulation which allows single rider ATV use on prescribed roadways with municipal agreement.

I thought that the MTO was supposed to enforce the rules, not make them??? We have elections to decide who makes the rules, or used to back in the old days....

I don't believe that for a nanosecond. Check the definition of highway, goes from property line to property line. People have been ticketed for driving in the ditch areas.
