Default Anybody ever had this happen?

I got home this afternoon with just enough time for a quick coyote set. Got the caller and decoy set up a few minutes before 5 and started playing cottontail distress sounds. Not even 2 minutes later an owl swoops down, grabs my woodpecker decoy and flies away with it.

Pretty cool to see but hopefully not something that happens again.

Sitting on the edge of a field one day an owl swooped down and grabbed a mouse, didn't see either of them until it happened. My buddy lost a trout on the ice to a bald eagle. Nature is always entertaining.

I had a hawk swoop down and pick up my teal decoy only to be surprised and drop it.

More or less. Picked it up about 30 yards from its original position. Intact and still functional but missing the fur/cloth that goes on the end of the mast. Put a small coons tail on with electrical tape tonight and our dogs and cats were going ape trying to get it when I tested it. So I think it is all good.

Called in many raptors but never had them grab the deke , on the bright side you know it must be realistic to fool the eyes of an owl.
