Not impressed with the 4 "new" crossbow models. Too many similar models. Are they going to do a late release?

I like the Micro 355. 20fps faster & a black rail & riser. It's about time they went black, the grey rail & riser is fugly..... I know the black will show scratches but deer won't care....

Will I sell my current Micro & upgrade. Probably....

    The bull-dog is cool too.

The other new bows I would not even give them a second look but they will appeal to some entry level hunters.

NOt impressed??? man have you shot the micro lol its a thing of beauty I had a phoenix as well and not that you can complain about any Excalibur really...but the micro is quite an amazing little bow in my opinion...what more do ye need...compact, fast, quiet, accurate and will take any game in Ontario.

Never shot one but heard good things about tenpoint as well.

    355 on the micro.
That's a lot of stress on the small limbs. A lot of the matrix (or whichever it is) have limbs blowing up..
Also going to make it harder to clock (remove the L) , which at 335 is very noticeable compared to their standard bows.

Same old debate (lets not) on whether or not a small increase in fps is really worth it.

Not sure why people feel the wheel needs to keep being re-invented, or the need for the newest and bestest. Love the micro as is and I feel zero need to upgrade.

The micro will handle anything you dare shoot it at. Nicely, in a handy compact pkg.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

The micro 335 is a fine crossbow. Never said anything bad about it. Just changing the colour of the rail & 20fps or making lesser speed models so close in the group isn't impressive IMO. Did they really need to do this? Wish they would have given options with different colour/camo patterns & adjustable stock/forearm handle, upgraded cocking aid etc. Looking at other forum how these crossbows have been customized (by their members) makes me wonder why these customized ideas weren't looked at & reconsidered as available from factory?

The real test is if these bows with a 290 pound draw weight can last over 5 years. I not so sure Excalibur is pushing the envelope here with such a high draw weight. I have a buddy with a 405 which is a year old and the limbs have been replaced twice. I have an older excalibur with a 200 pound draw and will not upgrade. If I want a compact crossbow I would own a compound crossbow which I do. The real test will be time and both buddies had the new matrix bows and both had there limbs replaced . The 355 once and the 405 twice.. What is next 350 pound draw weight for 405 mini. My compound crossbow which is a stryker ls 390 only has a draw of 150 pounds and shoots upto 390 and is more compact.

Please keep me posted when you do. I'd be interested in snagging that 335.

Time will tell. I have a 405 that has been used for 2 seasons and has about 200-250 shots on it with no issues. That being said I kept my exomax as an emergency backup just in case the limbs decide to go south on the 405.

My Exocet is still going strong. I kept it as a loaner for my dad & friends which has got many of my buddies into archery hunting & success filling their tag. Out of date or style by most but reliable & has taken a lot of deer. My Exomax is a keeper as well. Rock solid no issues. I've tried out matrix-micro models that my friends have but haven't felt the need to upgrade $$$ & since my equipment never caused me any issues. Yes the limbs are wider & that's the only problem when walking in the dense stuff. Now if they made hybrid with micro limb set (narrow width) with matrix stock I would. Better feel for me when holding wearing hunting gear. Feel the micro stock butt/grip-trigger/forearm grip are too compact. Like a youth model shotgun/rifle. They even changed the grip position on the new bulldog. Wonder how will you hold the dry fire release & then the trigger when uncocking?
