I don't know and you shouldn't trust anyone when it comes to your own life. But there is only one way to know, just make sure you carry safety ice spikes, a chisel or an axe and a life jacket......
I'll be checking a lake close from Couch tomorrow after work that froze on Sunday afternoon too. I expect a good 3" of black ice but we'll see.....

Thin to none at this point. You should be OK by then. Emphasis on "should". Be safe.

Well my back up plan involves a flat bottom tinner, life jacket, paddle, ice picks, rope and a buddy. One foot in, one foot out.

I checked a lake south of Bracebridge a few hours ago, I walked a kilometer, and as expected there is 3 to 4" of black ice. From the video report I watched today, Couch has the same. I'll be checking one of the big three tomorrow and expect the exact same thing. I'm not sure how big is the lake you are planning on going but it's probably the same. The only issue is the snow we are supposed to get next week, it will insulate the ice and slow down the process. Game is on for me this weekend anyway.
Be safe and check the ice as you go, don't take any shortcut.

Will be fishing Gibson Lake. It's not a big lake. Long, but not too wide. We shall see. You be safe as well, and good luck!

You can see in this satellite image that the big Muskoka lakes are partially covered but still have significant stretches of open water. Scroll to the right. Photo was taken yesterday
