Despite all we don't like about JT ( A naive fool really is his worst crime). Has he hurt the stiffs yet? Nope. Will he? Possibly, depending on taxation and some things..For all you gripe about JT Morneua is smart, a BAY Street and has a good back ground...Time will tell.

Fact is all politicians will abuse this or that. Close your eyes and pick one.
Fact is is all pander and buy votes. Only the Liberals here in Ontario the past 15 years have gone way over the top. And its really just been here in Ontario where Unions are A) deciding elections, pulling strings and B) enriching themselves quite a bit at the expense of the working stiffs.

And because they have propped up and kept this admin in power and so much is coming home to roost, people backs are breaking (unless your in PS)
Yeah its bad and a joke.

he would just be as bad....only difference being the other side of the pendulum.

And don't forget. Canada (the electorate) is slightly left of centre. He wouldn't stand a chance and the Unions will go ape...Even if JT ever got close to as bad as things are here in Ontario...his chances of winning?About as good as Trumps here, or Mannings.

And things would need to be as bad Federally as they are here before Id consider him. So if you DONT want years of foolishness, pandering to Quebec, Unions, etc..........

Mr. O'Leary is a very smart man. I wonder why he isn't a billionaire.

Being able to *NOT say what's on your mind* is very important in politics. See Tim Hudak's conservative election win in Ontario in 2014. Oh wait a minute - that didn't happen because someone couldn't keep is unpalatable (to most voters) ideas to himself.
Your dead on Mr. Reich ; Hudak spilt the beans prior to voting day being honest, Wynne played a smart hand , bet the house and won.

The problem with O'Leary is the same problem Harper and Hudak has. He doesn't have appeal to the masses necessary to beat his opponet.

JT has appeal and look where we are heading. So basically we have no hope . O'Leary does have enough money to take acting lessons as well as therapy from Dr. Phil. But then again that would be changing who he really is ,up front no nonsense proven business man. As much as i don't care for him he would do a much better job than any politician currently in office.

That is my point. If the conservatives hope to win we need a leader who has a solid track record of running big projects (private or public) successfully and has enough charisma to be in the same wieght class as Junior. He/she doesn't need to beat Junior but they should have enough personal warmth to project it.

O'Leary has spent enough time on the CBC in his "Mr. Wonderful" personality that he comes across as a giant jackarse. He has stated in the media that he cares only for money and that doesn't really play well with the majority of Canadians. I lean right than left when it comes to social issues but I would have a real problem with this guy who claims he loves captalism but came to be a household name on a state sponsored television show (kinda ironic).
