How Different Things Are Handled
Read this - http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/02/24...?intcmp=hplnws then think how this would have been handled in Canada - first the guy wouldn't have a concealed weapon to shoot the robber - then notice that the shooter wasn't handcuffed and charged with the idea that the court will straighten things out later - the shooter will not be arrested and charged with anything and in all probably get a medal for being a good and concerned citizen - sure is a different world - right

Why do you keep posting stuff like this?
Did you notice that there are no details released? There are no details of what happened, where it happened and when it happened.
Maybe if the guy did not have a concealed firearm then there would not have been a shootout, maybe both people would still be alive?

Simple, he posts things like this to show the difference in attitude toward criminals. Here the criminals get the priority and sympathy. There the criminal is accountable for their actions and deserve the results of their action. An armed criminal, known to police attempting a robbery gets shot... serves him right. Here the honest citizen would be the one viewed as guilty in our twisted legal system.
State Rep. Pat Garofalo, R-Farmington, wrote to The Star Tribune. “But when a criminal pulls a gun, they risk ending their life. Concealed carry works.”
Yup... just another craprat off the streets ! Cuts way down on recidivism !

Criminal pulled a gun on a good guy. Good guy won. Don't see any problems here. In Canada the criminal would have won, thats a problem.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

I know I know, shoot'em all and let God sort it out.
Any thoughts that this was someones kid? Nope.
Like I said, no details were released yet, as per the article. It looks like there was an attempted robbery, no clue who drew first, just that both were shooting at one another.

Everyone on this earth is /was someones kid at one time or another, including you.
This guy was known to the police according to the article .
Just another dirtbag that is not on the streets any more and won't be robbing any one else , no loss as far as I am concerned.

Only thoughts here are, this was an armed thug, well known to the police, attempted to rob a poor unsuspecting citizen, and got a rude awakening !!! Everyone is somebody's kid ! So was the guy this POS tried to rob.....

The main point of posting this was to show you how things are handled differently in the U.S. and in Canada - I always read that if someone does something questionable in Canada the cops handcuff and arrest the guy and then let the poor guy defend himself in the courts - this after spending thousands of dollars and time defending himself even when he did nothing wrong - in the case posted you will notice that the shooter wasn't arrested and in all probably won't be - it won't cost him an arm and a leg when he didn't do anything wrong
And Fox - I post things like this to show you how things are dealt with in other places - dealt with in a more fair way - maybe some day you'll be arrested when you didn't do anything wrong and have to spend big bucks to prove that your innocent - you'll see my point

Joe: People in Canada don't get arrested " for not doing anything wrong". Arrests and charges are laid because they have broken the law, or were believed to have broken it. Clearly, the laws are vastly different in the US, than they are here. In the US, there has to be legislation that allowed this guy to shoot a robber. Here, there is no such justification, with the exception of very few strict conditions.
From my perspective, this POS got what he deserved ! That will never happen north of the border .
