Decided to head up yesterday to see what was going on and found some crappie and perch in a popular area that charges $10 to fish. The bite was consistent, with lots of big ones along with the little ones mixed in. The water was still quite cold so the fish weren't in their classic spawning locations but rather were just out of the shallows and deeper than normal. As the water was quite cold I stayed away from plastics and decided instead to go with a marabou jig in white with a pink head and it paid dividends.
Cheers.

Nice catch. When you say $10 to fish, you mean a launch fee?
Hi Habs, I hope that you're well. It was $10 to fish off their docks and there was also a launch fee for those who were putting their boats in. I'm limited to the shore as I don't have a boat but I was having fun catching a lot of fish both big and small.
