Restricting licensed and legal gun owners has no effect on the criminal element. Manpower and money wasted in this should be diverted to law enforcement and target the illegal gun trade.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

The US Charter Documents were written based on Laws of Nature and Nature's God.
Rights are God given and only penned by man. Man understood the laws of nature and nature's God as revealed to man.
Furthermore, Law is God given not man invented as STATED in the Declaration of Independence...all men are endowed by their Creator certain unalienable rights. Rights are God given not govermment created. Man only puts pen to paper.
Canadian reclassification of the AR 15 would have no practical affect on crime on way or another. Most gun crime is likely handgun and access to handguns was thru smuggling or theft.

Yep....and heavy on the smuggling. The number of restricted's that are stolen from Canadian homes is very small because there aren't that many Canadians that own them.

[COLOR=#333333]I agree with this statement and yes I would think that most gun crime in Canada is smuggled in handguns.
I think when it comes to the AR-15 it's more to do with it being the gun of choice for mass shootings. No matter how you dress it up that is a serious piece of fire power, which can unload a lot of heavy lead fast.
With the capability of up to 100 round magazines, you preload a couple of those and wow you can take on a small army.

You'd be a fool to go to a massacre without one ...

Huh..interesting factoid;
The initial AR-15 (AR standing for Armalite Rifle), was designed by Eugene Stoner in the late 1950s.
Great last name for a guy of the 60's

Lots of talk from Americans about their rights.They have basically rolled over on having rights mostly in a voluntary manner and by allowing government controls.We are the same in Canada,they know where we go,what we do,where we spend,its all a big shell game.
