I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

UNbelievably awful this year!! I take every precaution, but came home with 4 in my bra yesterday - my husband found them.

Gonna leave that one alone. Didn't you get one on your azz this Spring? Not that it's any of our business

I had the dog out the other day around the Hamilton airport and felt something crawling on my leg. I grabbed it and had a close look and sure as shootin it was a deer tick.

We've picked at least a dozen off the dog, and 6 off the wife. Not sure if she had any in her bra, as the sour chick would be liable to violently lash-out if I went digging to check. She'd probably tell me to go f-off, even if I told her that I loved her, and was only checking inside the bra because I didn't want her to get sick. They've all been American dog ticks so far. I'm up by Fenelon Falls.

Opposite conditions here in NW Ontario (Div 10).
I think most of our ticks died last winter.
Scanty snow all winter. So very little insulation over the ground.
Still some mid winter deadly cold snaps to -35C.
Therefore I think many ticks died.

I have very few ticks on the farm this year.
Most years I would pick up 60+ ticks just walking the main 45 minute walking trail on my property.
This year, I get 4-5 ticks in an entire day.
Life is sweet with so few ticks this year.

LOL Sorry. Too much coffee. You still remember I got one on my butt? Hmmm

( How's the dog coming along?)

The dog is coming along as you would expect a high prey drive, high energy bird dog to after knee surgery. Drugs are a good thing. He seems to be healing well.

Haven't seen any on my dogs or myself or my bride. I bought a product called Bugslayer in the U.S that connects to the end of the hose that I spray on my lawn to get rid of ticks. So far so good.
