So I had assembled the makings of a "permanent" hang-on deer stand that uses an antenna tower as a ladder and I was transporting it from my dad's shop south of Parry Sound to the Bancroft area. Stopped at the Independent gas bar in Huntsville and I did not see it there. My next stop was the Home Depot in Huntsville which is just 2 min away... When I got there something out of place caught my eye. There it was, lightly caught in the front of the tower. So it went into the cooler; then cleaned and into the freezer where it is currently awaiting the rest of the dinner party
At no point during my drive do I remember seeing any grouse on the side of the road. It was a young one, tail feathers hadn't grown in yet.
