Great response Dakota Creek..... that first line is exactly what I was thinking when I read the title of this thread. I've used Dogtra for a few years now and I'm happy with the e-collar. Knowledge of the e-collar and a cool head is of the utmost importance.Quote:

I use a Dogtra but Garmin is a quality product too. My question about breed was to determine at what distance your dog works. The lower end models don't have as much range but not everybody needs it either. Stick to those 2 brands and they will serve you well. Make sure you get one with longer prongs as already said above. Your dog has a fair bit of a thick coat. Take the time to learn how to use them properly too. Great tools. When I fire mine up the jingle sound drives the dogs berserk and jump for joy so they sure don't mind wearing them.Quote:
