Tikka rifles were the worst although they have attempted improvements with the newer bolt shroud.
ML or CF, Remington and Savage have the most robust action designs of the usually purchased brands.
In general, talking about protection to the user for bolt action rifles the best are military actions, specifically the model 98 Mauser. It was assumed that the gun would have something happen to have a round rupture or things to go bad, now the assumption is that things will be perfect. The actions and overall the guns are made lighter for the sporter market and many of the safety features have been removed because they are not considered a requirement.Quote:
