Keep looking... eventually you'll find it, or build it yourself. The family I hunt with keeps it a dry camp... many stories of years gone by and the stupidness that ensued when guys got into the booze. We're there to make meat... leave the drinking to one of the other 51 weeks out of the year.

We could easily go non-alcoholic and it would change nothing about the dynamic. I have hunted with people who hid a flash and went out hunting, they were kicked out when we found out, then were asked back once we left. We are staying away from that area now due in part to this.

I remember back in the day, one of the fellas who owned an RV would hire a DD to drive us (the camp) into the local village for wings night on Wed of hunt week. Used to get back around 2-3 in the morning, most of us with a pretty good shine on.
Needless to say there was NO morning hunt and it was all we could do to, to go out for the afternoon one. Most guys just slept in their stands. Good memories.
Everyone in the groups I have hunted (or fished) in like to have a cocktail or two at the end of the day, but everyone also knows the reason they are there is to harvest game. Imbibing in the evening, smoking a stoogie, playing cards, and watching sports every night is something that doesn't happen at home.Quote:
