How COVID-19 impacts the fully vaccinated

So here's a story that should settle the idiocy of making vaccinations a 'Mandatory' requirement for taking holidays. This numpty took her fully vaccinated body to a covid infected area for holidays. Of course the vaccine failed and she got the Covid virus and came back to Canada with it.

Yet another 'breakthrough story that proves out...The Vaccine does not prevent you from catching and transmitting the virus. Sitting on a plane with other fully vaccinated people might make you feel 'special...but you're no safer than if you're riding on public transportation with the unvaccinated. The virus doesn't care !!!

That's what 'efficacy' means and both the mRNA vaccines touted efficacy rates of 97% ..so yes they did sell it as been effective in preventing you from getting the virus.

What they didn't tell you, the efficacy diminished to 37% after 4 months because it was never tested before they were given permission to use it for 'emergency' vaccinations against the virus.

I think you must be misremembering. Like Mike said when both these mRNA gene therapies came out they were very clear and quick to point out that they were both around 97% effective in preventing covid. That sure sounds like they clearly said it would prevent you from catching covid.

First off always look at the numbers for perspective.

Population of Mississippi is 3 million
Hospitalizations; 1,600 or 0.05% of the population.
In ICU; 452 or 0.015%
Covid deaths to date: 8,000 or 0.26 of population.

Those aren't huge numbers, in fact, similar to what the city of Ottawa was going the during the peak of the 3rd wave (other than death rate).

Only 36% of the population is vaccinated, so more opportunities for the virus to take hold.

The interesting part of the story is how many are taking (illegal) ivermectin. If the CDC has allowed that drug to be used as a therapeutic for Covid, then they would have had access to a proven Human version of the drug.

How I see when it comes to my own harm reduction outcome there is no one thing that will give 100% protection. Using as many layers as you can comes the closest.
Vax , don't vax your chioce and so you must also live withing societal protocols. Freedoms and rights do come with concequences for the choices you make. At the moment its vax, get tested, or remove yourself from public contact.

But what they weren't expecting to find out it really the efficacy of it was only 37% after 4 months. That's because they never ran trials to find that out before they suck it in the arms of naive trusting people.

First off you have to accept that the MSM is not being fully truthful about the impact of the Delta Variant. The case numbers they are using are flawed to downright false.

Second the Fully vaxxed are being infected by all varients ( there are 3 in Ont) of the Covid virus. The Delta is more transmittable, so more likely to catch it, but they are still getting the original variants. So the vaccine is NOT stopping any of the variants since the efficacy has dropped below 40%.

As with most things some want to be on the cutting edge of innovention others others may feel better to play follow the leader and reap the rewards of those that put themseleves forward. Lets see. Those that put themselves forward for harm reduction came to learn there can be adverse travel restriction(if one can really count that as an adverse vaccine complication) thoose that lagged learned if travel was important to them too check destination requirements.

What we should be doing tomorrow is opening up with no restrictions. Those who want to cower in fear and wear masks and not see their family or leave their homes are free to do so for as long as they like.

More severe cases in ICU are fully vaccinated over 60. They only have room for a few hundred more people in the hospital then they will have no choice but to shut down again.
Plus they have given out more than a million boosters.

What is Canada going to look like in the next few months? By September Ontario could have more than a thousand new cases per day more than last year at that time.

Can't use case counts...they are notoriously misleading.

And with 66% (Ont) fully vaccinated and only the small percentage of Delta patients ending up in the ICU it's impossible we will never reach the same numbers sick as we had before we started vaccinating the most at risk. If we do, the vaccine will have failed.

One thing the vaccine does do, it prevents you from needing hospitalization...at least within the vast majority of people.
