Common Sence Approach to Employee Safety from Covid.

Due to the fact that being vaccinated DOESN'T prevent you from getting the virus anymore, big companies are starting to protect their employees with better screening. A far more common-sense approach.

The QR code Passport system is far too flawed and with 80-90% of the public fully vaccinated, it has already outlived its original concept of trying to stop the spread of the virus by isolating the unvaccinated. It's failure to recognize that the vaccinated are increasingly (over 30%) carrying the virus, the whole passport system has become redundant before even before being fully launched.

Kudos to Corporate America for acknowledging a better way.

Buy Canadian !!

The people clamouring to be tested and "verified" are the unvaccinated. The refuseniks would rather have a long probe repeatedly shoved into and twisted around in the upper reaches of their sinus cavity and sit around until the results are available than take a vaccine that has been administered to over 11 million people in Ontario and 2.88 billion people world wide.

Even if the rapid antigen tests were a substitute for showing proof of immunization it is unlikely restaurants, cinemas, hockey arenas, football stadiums, convention centers, gyms, theaters, etc. would spend the extra money to satisfy the demands of a shrinking minority of vaccine hold outs.

Missing the point: Proof of immunization is no longer reliable. If the Government insists on trying to isolate those with the virus..it will have to use Rapid Testing. That's means everyone, repeatedly, every week.

On the other hand, all I see in Ontario is companies demanding employees get the vaccine by a certain date, or they are out, and restaurants and public spaces (ex. hockey rinks) enforcing double vaccination entry.

I don't think they have the right reason to test unvaccinated for COVID vs. not testing for vaccinated. It should not be to isolate those that have COVID ... because as you say, then that should apply to both non-vaxxed and vaxxed. The reason is that they are complying with laws, right or wrong, that enable them to accommodate unvaccinated people, while operating legally.

In my view, and based on comments anti-vaxxers here have already stated, the unvaccinated is at greater risk to get covid in the presence of vaccinated, as the symptoms of COVID will likely be suppressed in vaccinated people (to the point where they are asymptomatic) ... and an unvaccinated person may unknowingly get COVID from someone who is vaccinated. That should be a reason for non-vaccinated to be cautious entering indoor environments that have a large population of vaccinated individuals ... and hence the QR code system.

What about all the people who are at risk and can't get the shots. Are they going to be more at risk with the health care workers being forced to get vaxxed?

Suppressing their symptoms could kill a valnerable person who cannot receive the shot.

That there is the biggest problem, believing government stats when we know they are fudging numbers to justify their fear mongering. It's also been well proven by now in other countries around the world that therapeutics like IV, HCQ, Zinc, vitamin D and inhaled steroids do as good or even better job in reducing symptoms than the vaccines without all the side effects. But of course then there's no money to be made by big pharma so that won't happen as they continue to push boosters and vaccinating children.

I don't understand if someone is exposed to the virus (touches, absorbs, breathes, ingests content with the virus) ... how the virus does not enter the human body, irrespective of whether you have the vaccine or not. The vaccine does not offer some kind of invisible forcefield. Now, perhaps while in the body, a vaccinated person (with effectiveness) may not be a contagious person ... that part I honestly haven't researched ...

But for sure, if you are exposed to the virus ... I don't know how the vaccine stops being infected by the virus ... and assume you are, then all it comes down to is whether you will react severely (in terms of illness/symptoms) or not. I actually read early in the release of the vaccines that it is "Not a cure" ... a cure perhaps is something that will prevent the virus from being able to live in your body (for more than a few seconds).

Part of the problem I have with everything we read, is we know some stuff the government says is complete BS because they have no idea what they are talking about (at one point they said wearing masks is bad, don't do it ... then 6 months later, masks are mandatory ... from the same people). So unless we see a study which explains how the vaccine can literally prevent a person from being infected by the virus ... then I would take everything with a pinch of salt.

Yes, unvaccinated (and particularly vulnerable unvaccinated) are always going to be more at risk, due to suppression of symptoms.
No doubt in my mind.

So what do you do? Do you force people not to take the vaccine because of that?
In the end, it is a choice ... both ways, no one should force the other. But you have to recognize the risk that comes with that choice,
and manage accordingly. Sometimes, it is not a choice (I know 2 people that have a blood disease and cannot get the vaccine). They
still have to manage accordingly.

Let's make up a fake country, call it COVIDOPIA.
In this country ALL of the citizens are double vaccinated. Everyone, even the babies that are born.
This country has 1 million people.

The people who catch the virus after vaccinated loose their N antibody at a much faster rate than the unvaccinated. That will be problematic for the ones who catch it after the vaccine leaving them more susceptible to reinfection.

I personally think my wife had the original SARs cov 1 . Would make sense if she was the only one that didn't get sick when we thought we had cov 2 she always got what we got.

So far I don't know anyone that has caught covid who suspected they had it at the beginning. Know a few who got it afterwards but nobody that I know from the beginning.
