GM still build "work trucks" exactly as you described. They're pretty much stripped of all options except power glass and door locks, a standard radio and 4X4 floor shifter. Dealers don't usually stock them because there's really very little call for them, but, they can get them from Fort Wayne Assembly
inside a week.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I did see a 2008 F150/F250 Government owned being sold in Sudbury. It had a small extended cab and a 8 ft box was some specialty truck as it had part F150 and F250 was also rigged for plowing but never used. Going to see if I can find it again.

Propably a 7700 heavy payload. What they used to call heavy half. I own a couple. Great truck but it has a hanger bearing. They don't last. Problem is its part of the drive shaft now. I think it cost me close to 3000.00. I changed 2 on one truck then one on the other. Wheels are also bastards 7 stud. Hard to get spare wheel out in the boonies. Just buying regular F150 now. Good Luck.

OK so I have changed my qualifications a little bit maybe a 8 ft box isn't completely necessary maybe a 6.6 would be OK. The only reason I actually wanted one was for ease of driving the 4 wheeler into it. I don't care about lumber hanging out. So I was looking at these two trucks and they have well under 200K. Going to check them out this week some time.

I's starting to agree with the old Moniker Garage Mans Curse.

Has too much time on their hands
My 2010 F250 had it hanger bearing replaced at 90K under warrantee. The dealer did not replace the hanger bearing..he replaced the whole drive shaft from back to front.

Yes the hanger bearing is part of the drive shaft now. You can’t just change the hanger bearing like before.
