Recent events in New Zealand stand as a warning that this strategy will no longer be productive. We are likely simply to see a move to regulate semi-automatic rifles in general.

Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Just watched that home surveillance video of the "delivery guy" that shoots the home owner in the chest with a crossbow. Happened in Toronto late last year.
Damn silent arrow guns! Better ban them too

Knock it off,you guys. Don't give those brain dead Liberals any more goofy ideas, they can come with enough, themselves.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Not going to change what goes through their mind - a gun is a gun.
These are both good answers and the truth.
It is just that its simply a gun and a gun is a gun. The user of the weapon will determine the outcome. You know your guns and how to shoot them and shoot straight is more of a concern then most of the bangers. Most bangers could not hit the door on a barn if their life depended on it. I've seen many videos and just laugh as they have no clue where they are shooting. There was a video posted last year can't find it but some kid banger was shooting at a guy 10 ft away emptied the clip yet only 1 bullet grazed the other guy. You could see the bullets hitting the ground several ft away from the victim. As some have said they just spay and pray.
Most big mass shootings are not from bangers and know their weapons. That makes it alot worse for any situation. Does not matter on the weapons they use they know how to use them.
Ps there are ways to tamper with most guns if you know what your doing move and change a few parts and you can make your own semi . Just putting it out there I know of a 3030 that went semi . Highly illegal to tamper with them but it can be done.

So many of the same old arguments. From the usual players on either side......
“Food for thought”
Anyone that thinks or argues that Bill Blair and the Liberals don’t have an agenda, or their sights on firearms . Are either part of the problem, or don’t live in reality.
All that’s happened here is they have sniffed the political winds, and accepted a ban would back fire. Gee what a surprise, revelation that is. Name any topic, any party that thinks X will win favor initially but after the public, many law enforcement agencies, say no..
Think electoral reform.......of but one recent example
Let’s not forget these are the same people that until recently spew so much misinformation and spin surrounding domestic crime guns...
On the flip side.
Arguments about our worfully informed general public. The biggest problem there, is that they are gullible to misinformation, spin and lies fed to them by the left, anti gun crowd and media.
However increasing their awareness and knowledge will do squat to curb the violence.
Americans, aka the Wild Wes, aka the armed nation, aka people that come out of the womb with a gun in hand, know far far far far more about guns than the vast majority of us (including gun owners)
/points to the highest by per capital gun death on the globe.
/points to their gang, inner city violence
