Just to be clear, he will lose 0.35" of ground clearance, which is pretty insignificant considering this type of loss is accepted when many people routinely air-down their tires to go off-roading. It's even more insignificant when you consider that the OP said he doesn't go off-road much.

That is well below stock, with a pre-runner pickup you are getting the pumpkin a significant distance closer to the rocks when going down a logging road for a fishing trip or going in for a load of wood, the Toyota diffs are not small.
