How is this f-up system Ford's fault? The whole thing was initiated long before the election was even called, and there was certainly no time to change it after he took office.

Remember 35 years ago when you had a piece of paper for each of your licenses? They then introduced a system in which all your info would be on a plastic card that was impervious to the weather. That was supposed to be a major step forward to eliminate issues because of paper licenses. I'm thinking that cost has trumped practicality.

I think the new system is great.
Working flawlessly for me & no more phoning in to hear a busy signal or wondering if my info truly went through. No more driving to the license issuer & waiting in line to buy a tag.
Now we have an instant receipt that shows the transaction & can easily check our draw results and print my own tag from home.

Well it didn't go so smoothly for me... tried to print it off and the only page I could get was the licence summary, no tags. I went back a while later to check again and the system showed the tags to be already printed! So now it's off to service Ontario to stand in line.

The irony of people complaining on the internet that not everyone has a computer and internet access is quite something

I printed my licenses off at work. But when I saved the PDF it only saved the summary not the licenses. But there is away around that. Problem solved.
