The only reasons you can't go to your cottage is most likely because the marina won't take your boat out of storage and no one else will give you a ride there across the lake?

I have a private launch ,with my 'back and forth', tin boat upside down on shore. Just waiting for the 9.9 Merc. that is down here to be placed on it for the trip over. Easy peasy, no need to bother anyone. Now the other two large boats I have stored at the marina, am I going to have pay summer storage for them?

Aw,come on,that's hysteria writ large. Just because they report the same thing just means they're all drinking the same kool-aid,pumping up the sensationalism and cashing in on the advertising. Why else would they say the same thing over and over and over 24/7,pull every "expert" former government hack out of the woodwork to speculate ad nauseum? Is this virus serious stuff? Yep,without doubt, downright fatal for some folks with underlying conditions. IMO,we owe it to our fellow citizens to protect everyone by being cautious and considerate, but, running around in circles with our hair on fire serves no useful purpose.

Weird. I kind of agree with both of you.
Serious stuff? Yep, very. But more so due to the way it spreads and how fast. For the vast majority, while they might have a rough time, or a hell of a time. 97% are walking away. I had to console my daughter whose higher riskthrough her tears and fear. Get her to understand both that and that, being locked in a tiny room, 23 hours a day, while it raged outside, was safe...Not fun that.....On the other hand. Jan through March, the media was downplaying it. When we now know. Today, it’s the polar opposite.......
Some countries are doing relatively well, some not so much. You look at the US, Italy and you just want to weep. You look at prices being paid, and by whom, and you want to throttle some.
I linked an interview with an economist ( mentioned only because it lends some creditibilty) in the documentary thread. She breifly touches on the media’s role. And she is spot on.
No matter where we end up, it all could have been much, much better....Could have, and should have.

Weird. If I said said the same things about going to the cottage as posts 7,9,10, said, I would have had a piece ripped off me. Funny that.

Gord. If you can go, go.
I’m willing to bet every single person on this forum have done something in life, when they “shouldn’t have”. Whether because the reasoning not to was sound, or some other thing said no.
Me.
I am my own person, and I never do anything without good reasons. Even when other factors say no. I dont need anyone’s approval, and I dont justify my actions. Ive already “justified” it to the only person on the planet, that matters.

Funny that. You have justified visiting your daughter, to us on this site on numerous occasions, and then defied anyone to say you should not.

I have been up to the camp twice now, Seen nobody and heard no body got my tin and steel boat in the water and crossed over with out seeing no body. Went into the woods and checked cameras and placed minerals seen nobody got back home with out seeing no body and felt extremely refreshed in mind and body to face the public again till next time I go .

What's wrong with visiting your kids?
Even the prime minister visited his kids this easter weekend. [emoji6]
We dropped off some cake to our daughter on Saturday no hugs just a quick chat from drive way lol.
Didnt know we were still aloud over for an egg hunt lol so we left it at a driveway visit. When I'm stronger than our own prime minister lol. So weak haha lol.
Haven't you been to the cottage yet?
Have to check it out from the winter maybe its iced up who knows how far it is north.
What if the animals made it in some how? you just never know, you should go and check it out. Cant let it sit there what if a tree near by fell over and damaged something it happens I have no idea if you have trees that could fall on it or not.
But you should go check it out it needs to be summarized lol. Your vehicle needs a good drive it's not healthy for them to sit in the driveway. Especially if there driven every day they still need to be used often to prevent damage and seizing.[emoji106]
Hope you had a great Easter weekend.
