oh i agree with that, its gotten a little worse to an extent, i do agree with a version of the carding, but i blame alot of it on the media, no one gave a crap before to show it on the news, now all of a sudden thats all it is.

been going on forever and it will never stop no matter what you do, as long as there is a need for the illegal guns by people they will find a way to get them out there. As much as i hate to say it.

Put the people in jail for a long time would be a bit helpful, a very long time.

No doubt but there will always be a guy to replace him, as long as there is money to be made and a demand for it, itll happen. Just like anything else.

The demand will never be over already gone on for 100s of years . The war on guns and drugs is just a never ending battle. If anything the police only make small blips in their system. What's a few lost millions when your in a multi billion dollar game .

The only problem with the long or longer jail time is out of sight out of mind.

Like has been said for every one they catch there three or four to take their place.

Maybe instead of long jail time, the best solution would be a short drop in public. By public I mean right in their neighborhood.
Drop at sun rise....swing till sunset.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Well then you'd better be building more jails. I worked at EMDC/PP for 20 years. It was built for 350 inmates. It is now running around 500... and people complain about why the COs aren't doing a better job of watching what's going on.

    Here is a theory lol.

What if gun violence is not on the rise as we think? Yeah ok there has been more shootings but does that really mean gun violence is on the rise?

What I'm getting at is there has been a steady increase in our population. More population growth comes with more problems. Since 2016 we have seen great growths in the area.

In fact Toronto was the fastest growing cities in all of Canada and the USA last year. With huge increases of population there is bound to be more of everything including shootings.

So the question is, is the violence really up or does it just come with the population growth? Will it become the new normal?

Toronto wants to double it's population in the Next 45 years so there could be 1600 to 2000 shootings a year by then. [emoji849]

I dont buy it..... Ever since carding has been removed the gangsters now know cops cant search or even talk to them without first asking for their permission.... Gangster have too many rights and are hiding behind them..... Allow the cops to do their job (be proactive) and the gun violence will be reduced, right now all the cops can do it react after the fact.

Would you like to get yanked out of your car and patted down an lets say harassed just because the cop wants to? We do have rights and unfortunately in certain circumstances I would say thats the price for freedom. I can tell you I want my charter rights and vote for a free country.
Gangsters carrying guns because they get no time in jail for doing so. The gun problem is our governments fault
