Quite clearly,this was a "bridge too far",igniting protests and backlash across the province. The government had no choice but to back off with this face-saving reversal,but,I fear the damage has been done. Doctatorships must be brought to heel.

Agreed ... but I have to say, I do have a growing admiration for the fact that the PC government at least is honest they have made mistakes, and are willing to quickly reverse decisions, which shows they are listening to the people. That is SOOOOO much better than the Liberals that will lie, lie, lie, deflect, deflect, deflect and allow stupidity to perpetuate indefinitely, or at least until the get caught red handed (and then still lie and deflect).

Agreed. The Feds are as much to blame, but Ford has to bend on other stuff. Listen to the doctors. When a whole panel of them say things like golf, camping with your own family and that paid sick days would help people properly isolate instead of going to work sick, I would listen. This is not just one doctor, its many of them who are the best in all of Canada.

I was a witness at an accident and a cop showed up at my house and knocked on my door. I answered the door and we started talking about the accident and he asked if he could come in and I said no, I will come out to discuss. I put a jacket on and went out to my porch and had the conversation with him.

He asked me why I did not want him in my house and all I said was the less you know about me the better. No different if a cop asked to look in my truck - I would say no way.

That was a smart move - a lawyer will tell you not to leave a cop come into your house - he may accidentally see something that he thinks is unlawful and charge you - it is unfortunate but that is the way it is -
