I have to agree. While we have to be responsible enough to know our dates, how hard can it be to print the opener and the closer date on the tag. If nothing else you'd save the CO from having to hear any excuses.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he was trolling. The mind does crazy things while you are preparing for a hunting season, posting a ridiculous post like this wouldn't be unheard of. Also if he was bragging about a bird he truly rolled, you're damned sure he wouldn't have posted without his hero shot. Contrary to popular belief not everything on the internet is real, and not everything real is on the internet.
No stop beating on him and get out there so you can post your own opening success (although you may be a little late to setup near a roost).
