I'll never understand why sarcasm ALWAYS ends up in threads with legit questions being asked.
Whats the point of a community if questions can't be asked without the threat or sarcasm from the members, glad everyone can get their post totals up adding unhelpful discouraging things to posts.

I can see where confusion might come about with this. Some states (Michigan) outlaw firearms in elevated stands. This was done for "safety" - hard to figure that out. Michigan saw the light a few years back and now allows it.

Im egumakated fairly well with the outdoors having grown up fishing and learning lessons from the old man who gave up hunting when I came along but still new to hunting myself, especially deer, and my hunting partner primary bow hunts deer so my contact with deer hunters with shotguns has been minimal.
Having never seen it on paper I thought I'd ask,
Thanks again.
... used to be illegal in Michigan. It's legal there now.

I would expect that a S&W Mod 29 would be ok in a Michigan tree stand...much handier and therefore safer than a shotgun.

My advice is tonignore whats legal and not legal in other jurisdictions and focus on Ontario.
As always check the books if unsure. Read it cover to cover
