Thanks. They're vac packed and in the freezer ready for the BBQ. I also smoked pork chops, but I still have some in the freezer. There's lots you can do. That's most of my pork for the year.

FYI if your making a long trip call ahead woodbridge store out of stock till Monday noonish

Hi there.
Im planning on doing sausages next month.
Can i freeze the pork that i purchase make the sausages mixed with venison next month and freeze it again.

Not just sausages, but pork shoulder/butt is great for making pulled pork. I buy it this time of year put a southwest rub on it, vac pack it, leave it in the fridge or cold cellar for several days, then into the freezer it goes.
Also, smoked hocks are great for pea soup or homemade beans. I have a killer bean recipe.
The loins make great pork chops either smoked or plain.

Not a big fan of freezing, thawing, refreezing. Unless your making a cooked product I wouldn't

I do, but most of my sausages are hot smoked, but I've also done others than weren't with no problem. It's a good way to get rid of old meat in your freezer, just be careful thawing it.

Will any of are local stores price match. I live to far way .anybody tried. I would love to get some belly for homemade bacon . Dutch
