Omicron Hysteria

Full court press by the MSM that past few days, even the CBC National dedicated its entire show last night to stirring up the fear of the new variant 'Omicron' .

The most alarming; the Government faced with mounting hysteria was pressured to do get the Boosters shots out quicker so they dropped the 6 month wait between the mRNA vaccine doses down to 3 months. Not sure who sanctioned that, but it can't be good having not tested the vaccine to find out the ramifications for doing so.

They still have no data to support (quite the contrary actually) that this variant will create untenable problems for the Health Care System, but the 'Doom and Gloom' from the usual cast of Dr's filled the airwaves for the past few days has everyone scared again.

And out of Africa....apparently what saved them largely from adverse effects of this variant, was that a huge number of the population 72%, at the Omicron epicenter, had been previously 'naturally' infected and recovered.

That supports the premise that had we allowed the Covid virus to spread through the population when it was clear it only adversely affects 4% of the population (Canada Stats), we as a whole would have been better prepared for future variants like Omicron..

Trying to 'Booster' it into submission will not work and probably do irreparable harm for our immune system with increasing does of mRNA being pumped into our arms.

Scary stuff. FDA and CDC say it's ok for a 16 and 17 year old without any study's. There is an older study of 200 people between the age 18 and 55 that showed antibodies go up after the a 3rd dose.


But then when you hear the FDA in the approval say '" we won't get the data until we start pushing shots in the adolescent "

Or "it's really more of gut feeling"

The biggest kicker is getting the boosters out before omicron is done it's course.

Don't they need a few weeks so your body can bring up the antibody levels? A shot today will would be affective after Christmas no?

It's going to be challenging to get many back for a booster without the force of mandates lol.

I know many who don't want them .

Well I'm no doctor and I could be wrong but it is my understanding that after you receive your injection your body stops producing white blood cells ( the ones that are part of your immune system that fight infection) in order to produce the spike protein for approximately 3 weeks. Injecting yourself in the middle of cold and flu season not to mention with the highly contagious Moronicon variant floating around is just asking for trouble and not the right thing to do especially when only a 5% benefit is associated with it. Now add the fact that the powers that be are giving the ok to administer these boosters at 84 days after the second shot instead of 6 months seems to me to provide the perfect conditions to set off a cytokine storm within one's self and end up in the hospital or dead. South Africa had a injection rate of 12% and a death rate of 3% prior to the discovery of Moronicon their death rate has now fallen to 0.5%.

This could be very problematic that most are not even aware of yet.
It also explains how a cold can feel like your on your covid death bed again.

Or sayings like " she has never been so sick"

Or how a bee sting will shut your body down and end up waking up on a stretcher. 1 bee sting seen 8 times more potent.

It's why hospitals filled up because you're body can't handle anything after being vaccinated. Your safe from covid but are at serious risks of anything else that happens during that time.


This is a problem we are seeing this it's not an exaggeration it's real.

Was talking to a victim of this last weekend. Not allergic to them woke up on a stretcher 4 days after the shot. His body ignored the fact he was stung and shutdown from an overload.

His body was focused on taking in the vaccine nothing else.

There have been plenty of moves made to coerce the population into getting the injection that is not as advertised, this is just another ploy to achieve total compliance before the cat really gets out of the bag.

In Ontario, we are about 81% vaccinated (over 5 years old), so if the vax is completely ineffective, we should expect 19% of the cases to be unvaxed. That it is 50% more than that means that the vaccination works - a bit - (81-72)/81 = about 11% reduction. At this point, it looks like the vax isn't really working against transmission. It still does have significant effect on hospital and ICU visits, where the number of unvaxed far exceeds the number of vaxed - despite being only 19% of the population.

Their vaccination status is pointless and meaningless..unless of course your talking about the positive case counts;

Also about or 20% of the population over 50 is not vaccinated. Wasn't the average age of the hospitalized over 50?

Only 90 percent between 50 and 59 are fully vaccinated that leaves room for again misleading numbers.

Good question and largely why 'conspiracy' theories run rampant. They aren't been forthright with us and yet wonder why people become skeptical.

It's like the sudden interest in providing millions of people with the Antigen Tests. What that will do in vastly increase the number of positives in the community, even with asymptomatic people and boost the nightly 'Postive Case' numbers. That will encourage us to comply with the upcoming Lockdowns.

Wonder why the modeling says we will have over 10,000 cases a day...that's why.

Still more common for the unvaccinated.
But the entire age group is seeing less serious problems. It's not just one group it is the entire age population that has seen milder cases.
This is Good news but still a serious disease for many age has always been a factor of the amount of side effects of this disease.

This means children who had a small risk has even less of a risk unvaccinated.

What they are afraid of is the amount of people getting sick and flooding the health system. Even if it is milder more will end up in the hospital because it just speeds so fast and thousands more will become infected.

If it's half as mild 3 times the cases would still put more in the Hospitals.

Some Toronto Hospitals can only run at 85 percent capacity due to short staffing issues . Crappy time have just let go the unvaccinated . Yes small percent numbers but it still lots of people and positions.

Not if, as they say, the mRNA vaccines still are effective at keeping the infection from becoming severe. We have proof they don't work at preventing them from getting infected, but if they also no longer prevent them from being hospitalized...we're in a world of hurt.

With 80% (Ont) vaccinated and X% of the unvaccinated who have recovered with natural immunity, the at risk numbers are very low.

Maybe they are more freshly shot up.

The concerns for waning over time yes its still holding strong for now for keeping the Hospitalization low but what about next month ?

Still unknown then how many are willing be getting their booster not everyone leaving more of the population unvaccinated shortly.

We are very much playing out a live social excitement and who knows what's going to happen next lol. They are getting the live data as it goes along.

I was reading thru papers on Omicron this morning and have to say, I have never seen the use of words like "could, may, not known, maybe" on 'scientific' papers in all my life. They're flying blind and the default reaction from the Politicians is " mandate restrictions".

The hysteria they've created over this variant has really spun out of control...pity the poor soul that ends up in the ICU with the Omicron virus...they'll be front-page news from coast to coast.

That's the way I see it doing their best with the hand they have been dealt.

I have no problems with folks not getting the vaccine, you take your chances with your health.

But these folks will be the same one's that that if they get infected and if they end up in hospital will expect the Doctors and nurses who are vaccinated to look after them.

Just heard on the radio official data from the uk that you're 50 to 60 percent less likely to go to the hospital. Even less to end up in the er than delta.

hopefully it stays that way but we are pretty early into this new variant. Hospitalizations tend to lag behind positive tests. But if the early indicators that Omicron is less severe remains then hospitalizations should stay down and the concerns will be unfounded.

All that would be great, and as infectious as this variant is, seems like most of us will end up getting it and the natural immunity that comes with it, which may just end this entire thing.

The province logged 10,412 more COVID-19 cases and four new deaths, according to data from Public Health Ontario.

We also don't disagree that the media is overblowing Omicron by focusing on case counts to the exclusion of hospitalizations. The good thing in our modern age is we don't need to depend on any "news media." It's not hard to find the same source material that the media uses and often it is quite different than the conclusions drawn by some wet behind the ears graduate of the Ryerson School of Journalism.

I agree that the media is no doubt fear mongering, but I watched CTV news on the 24th.
Sure they lead off with the number of cases, but then broke that down by region, numbers in hospitals, number of deaths, number in ICU, and numbers of vaccinated vs unvaccinated.

Seemed pretty comprehensive to me, and sure doesn't take a genius to realize that vaccines aren't doing much to prevent transmission of omicron.

I just didn't see any big coverup of the actual data going on there. Not sure what the other media sources are doing as I don't watch them.

I'm still open to both sides and the damage done by the virus was it a bio weapon?

What will happen to all the long haulers?

I've seen recent studies of the virus making men have less sperm . Long haulers with side effects after a year. If it's what I had and friend the end of 2019 his lips and nails turned blue he may need a double lung plant but they blaim the chemical he was working with.

Who knows. Does the government know more that meets the eye?

Was omicron an effect from vaccine? It says it was possibly formed from the people with aids in after because of a weaker immune system. From my understanding the vaccine while its kicking will weaken the immune system for a short time. Who knows.


You said you had a bout of severe symptoms did you try any at home remedies? Did they prescribe you anything ? When they said my parents had it they did nothing that was March of this year. Come back later if it becomes severe.

I was talking to a guy not long ago his body shut down after a single bee sting . They tested him and he is not allergic to them a side effect from the shot . His immune system didn't respond and his body went into shock and shut down. He is lucky to be alive today from how it happened. They said it was like 8 stings to his face .

To be honest I'm not really sure what to make of the data, as in does the 0 represent the infection rate of the unvaxxed or ground zero for both parties? In any regards my take is that if you are injecting the same serum efficacy is only good for 84 days and you are at risk of a serious outcome via a cytokine storm for an additional 14 days between shots and most likely to be considered unvaxxed during that period not to mention added risks of an adverse reaction with each shot, hardly seems worth it to prevent something that has become about as serious as a common cold.

Interesting stat this morning:

With Sunday's updates, Canada has now reported 2,000,150 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. A total of 30,159 Canadians have died from the illness.


That translates; ...of all the known positive cases in Canada, only 1.5% died. Either it's remarkable to how good our health care system is or proof that the lethality of this virus is far less than we have been led to believe.

note: 2 million positive cases is only 5% of the population.

Just to compare to the USA, 52,283,000 cases, 816,610 deaths, which is 1.56% fatality
with 15.8% of the population contracting covid.

So 3 times as much of the population caught covid, but fatality rate remains almost identical.
I have a feeling that percentage of cases is going to skyrocket in both countries, but hopefully the fatality percentage will go down with Omicron.

The number of deaths counted isn't accurate, they are deaths with covid not of covid.

Good news....as was stated earlier, Omicron spreading thru the population is a good thing. It's proving a better 'booster' than another shot of the vaccine.

The Xmas holiday numbers are now out. No real change in the Hospitalization numbers, even though the case numbers are high,

The ministry says there are currently 965 people with the virus in Ontario hospitals and 200 of those patients are in intensive care units.

Of the COVID-19 patients in the hospital, excluding those in ICU, 182 (24%) are unvaccinated, 24 (3%) are partially vaccinated and 399 (52%) are fully vaccinated.

Infection rates only tell part of the story. 35% of non-ICU hospitalizations are among the not fully vaccinated. In ICUs they represent 67% of the COVID cases.

Not to be insensitive...but what were his comorbidity issues ? : High blood pressure, overweight, diabetes, smoker, ..all the virus did was exacerbate his already pre-existing health issues. He was in a high-risk group and should have been vaccinated. By refusing he died. He's one of the .08% of the population that has succumbed and listed as death by Covid.

While 2 years of the pandemic, 96% of the people have not been medically affected by the versus. So why are they pushing for 100% vaccination when only a small few really require it.

You all seem to be worried about the vaccine that no one is forcing you to take. The long term effects and casualties and whatnot. But what about the long term effects of getting the virus. Not much science on that either. But seems like a few are all for getting infected and let it run it’s course. Why not just be patient and cautious and see what happens. There is no long term effect of omicron. It is a mild flu as reported worldwide. Time to end the BS and let people return to a normal life. The fear mongering that MSM and some on here seem to enjoy propagating serves no other purpose than an agenda openly promoted by Trudeau.

If you fear for your lives then by all means get all the government recommended shots promoted by Big Pharma and hide at home in the basement. Agreed. I didn't go to restaurants/ movie theaters/sporting events before the pandemic so that doesn't bother me at all

Sucks I may not travel ever again but I guess that's the choice I'm going to make.

It's sad to see so many people pressured into it now. I hear so many young people say " I didn't want it, But I just want to continue on with my life so I'm giving in.

When I don't have a choice anymore and try to stop me from buying basic commodities like food or fuel and such. That's when the gloves come off.

Hopefully it never gets to that. ......I hope, As they already threaten me with my career.

Maybe I’m unique, but nothing much has changed for me, except mask wearing. Most of my family and friends get to work from home. At first it was difficult for many with kids but they figured it out. Most of those working from home are telling me they’re saving all kinds of money from not needing to travel to the office everyday.
In our late 30s and early 40’s we don’t go out clubbing, or bars or restaurants. With all the streaming options available we don’t go to movies, not that we ever did. I love my sports, but it’s always on TV.
Stores I need access to , for work or personal items, are always open. Most things are easily bought online.

I’ve gone on a few fishing trips last year and multiple hunting excursions. I rarely travel outside the BEST country in the world (pssst…..it’s Canada).

I don’t think I’m much different than many others. So maybe others have lost some rights? I’m not sure.

Well as a retired baby boomer I feel the same way, pretty much do exactly what I did before the pandemic.

I fail to understand why the same dozen or so posters are so full of gloom and doom, maybe they need to leave their computer desks and actually get out and about. Some of the family is vaccinated some are not, some got Covid, some did not.

But we certainly do not get our knickers in a knot about it.

I think those actions were justifiable at the beginning when we knew very little on the virus. Now the reduced capacities are justifiable to prevent transmission.
While I feel for those in that industry, there was a lot of financial help from the government to take advantage of.

“Failed” lockdowns is an assumption based on what has already happened. Things could be very different otherwise, but we will never know.

This is part of the blase and complacent attitude of most Canadians that allows these things to happen in the first place.
Wearing a mask is a severe violation of our rights. Especially since many of the 'experts' have said it doesn't work (the only masks having any measurable effect being N95 or greater). So that's a huge deal right there. It's a political symbol not a medical device. It's a sign of submission to the state and nothing more. This isn't the CCP last time I checked.

What about your kids/friend's kids having to be 'fully vaccinated' to continue their post-secondary studies...even if they are online learning only? Where is the science or sense in that? Especially now when we all know the vaccine does nothing to stop transmission...even though that's how it was rolled out initially. The schools should have made a course-correction and started accepting natural immunity tests, seeing as almost everyone has either had covid and recovered, or had 2 shots, or both. The software being used by post-secondary for online learning is quite invasive -- taking control of your webcam/microphone and essentially recording you for hours at a time alone in your room. The main company, Proctortrack has already been in some hot water with a data breach. This causes a lot of stress on students, especially those with learning disabilities or nervous ticks...the AI monitoring will pick up their eye movements and flag them as cheating, etc.

What about kids needing to be fully vaccinated to play sports?

What about small business owners having to pay out of pocket to convert their establishments into an absurd non-scientific theatre, with 'x' decals all over the floor and mountains of disposable, environment-destroying ppe that has done nothing.

Not everyone can work from home don't forget, and many people have been utterly destroyed by this plandemic.

The more I read up on these type of responses the more I realize that society is too caught up in the idea of “I want it now”. What’s wrong with precautions and a wait and see approach?

Masks are not an infringement on human rights. N95’s in high traffic areas with a highly transmissible virus is common sense. Until you know the long term effects of the virus, why take the chance of getting it? You want a real sign of submission, go get your drivers licence, hunting licence, fishing licence, etc. Playing by the rules is not a sign of submission. Caring about your neighbour is not a sign of submission.

There’s no complacency here. It’s more of a methodical patience to understand more of what’s going on. There’s no need to overreact and play the blame game or point fingers until all the information is out. This will probably take years. I just don’t believe in taking sides and being defiant when no one knows exactly what’s going on.

If you don't believe being forced to muzzle yourself is a violation of our rights then I'm not sure we'll be able to proceed any further in the conversation.

I've heard those arguments before ("oh yeah, what about seat belts, obeying traffic lights?," etc.) and they are not the same thing at all. No one is calling for complete anarchy and subversion of basic licensing rules by simply pointing out the absurdity / hypocrisy of all the mandates over the past 2 years.

Caring about your neighbour is respecting and standing up for their God-given freedoms, even those you may disagree with. There's no higher form of respect than that. Continuing to believe the narrative that's been exposed and debunked multiple times over is not caring for your neighbour. Living in a state of fear and supporting lockdowns and bogus health measures for a virus with a 99% survival rate is not caring for your neighbour and is very much a sign of submission.

No need to over react? We've had 2 years of our lives stolen from us. Thousands of people have died because of missed treatments, mental health/suicide, etc. Young children are experiencing learning & developmental problems from constant mask wearing and are now conditioned to think this is normal. Kids have had milestone life events (graduation, prom, etc.) taken from them. The anxiety level among our youth, which was already high to begin with, is up like crazy. Many businesses have been completely ruined. Those who dared take a stand against the tyranny have been smeared and slandered at every turn. It's not an over reaction to be upset about this and to rightly point fingers where they deserve to be pointed -- corrupt leaders in cahoots with corrupt business, and complacent, scared citizens.

So coercing people to get jabbed over threats of job loss, mandating mask wearing, denying entry without proof of vaccination, arresting pastors for holding religious services, or even trying to deny people entrance to grocery stores like New Brunswick just tried has nothing to do with forcing.

It’s quite simple. It’s an air born virus. Masks (n95’s) will help prevent transmission. Full stop. It seems logical to try an ounce of prevention. No rights abuse there.

Your reactions are not out of the ordinary and show much fatigue in our current environment. It’s perfectly normal. Much has changed in 2 years. But I have faith in the resilience of mankind to bounce back once things return to normal.

In time I hope we will be able to reflect on all the information out there and come to a consensus on what actually happened. And with some forethought we will be better prepared in the future.

Ahh no...even less plausible now because the Omicron has negated any aspect of preventing infections with the vaccine. 80% of all positive cases last week were in passport carrying 'Verified' people. They are more of a threat than the unvaccinated.. :)

In fact, because they haven't stopped the use of the defunct passports confirms that the use of them is not for prevention at all, but for coercion to get more of unvaccinated to take the jab.

You are disposable as an employee wherever you go. To believe otherwise is silly. If a company introduces a mandate and asks employees to follow through, you have two choices:
1. Take it or 2. Leave it.

The issue arises when you have a contract; Union or Government employees. They can't change the terms of employment or service and then try to fire you.

Well that's the 100 Trillion dollar question, it's abundantly clear that "they" are all in and won't be walking away while the chips are all on the table. This "their" system we are living in it wasn't designed to last forever but I'm sure "their" next one is. I don't have all the answers but know we are doomed if we keep playing the game that "they" have rigged in "their" favour. A good first step would be to pay attention to what is going on around us and realize that we are under attack from not just beyond but within by all parties and from all angles, "they" wouldn't risk it all unless their bets were hedged, "they" have a plan and are executing it. Think for yourself, stop complying with "their" health rules that have nothing to do with your health, your compliance only makes it that much easier for them to do what they need to do to advance to "their" next step. Don't take anything you're being told by "them" at face value nothing "they" have told you so far has been true, not even the data they post daily, (if I'm wrong about that feel free to correct me) yet they claim to be experts. Turn off the news it's been so propandanized it's become satire, listen to the people in the field that are risking it all to bring you the truth. Talk to your friends and neighbours about what is happening find out what they think. Educate yourself read up on things like the communist manifesto, The Great Reset, The Bible etc. Hug a conspiracy theorist they usually like to talk and all you have to do is listen, they know what the end game is. The next step I think would be is to find out who "they" really are and where they're at and deal with them. The clock is winding down and we are at a fork in the road, nobody is coming to save us.

You're right, it is a great summation of what is wrong with the Covid policies that this Government has forced upon us. Much of which I have been posting about all along and seen nothing but opposition from those who haven't been able to grasp the ramifications of the misuse of the Emergency Health Measure Act to imposed policies with little to no opposition.

I think once we get past the hysteria created and start to look more logically at what has happened we'll see to the folly of allowing a Government the unfettered ability to impose its will on the public.

in all honesty, I don't read most of your posts past the first insult to others or claim of most of the world not having as much intelligence as you, but this one I kept reading and agree with.

I posted this on another thread. But thought I’d try to save some people 25 minutes.

Ok so I took 25 minutes out of my life so that those that are interested can read a synopsis of what this video is about. These are my notes through the video. Some might believe they are bias, and they probably are. I tried my best to rationalize the video with my own beliefs of logic. Feel free to read through.

Within the first 3 minutes they pretty much deny covid exists and that it’s made up to infringe on our freedom.

Fast forward to the first six minutes. Essentially saying that people are afraid and fear is used as a tool to force people to take the vaccine. This guy mightily sits on his high horse believing that somehow the majority of people are uneducated and less intelligent than he. So mainly stupid and scared people can’t make their own informed decisions and that is why they got vaccinated.

8 minutes in now and employment is covered. Mandates are covered. They admit the vaccine works to lessen the symptoms. They believe the mandates are not right. They believe that those unvaxxed are being treated like sub-humans.

Up to the 9 minute mark they discuss how the courts are supposed to be neutral and examine cases only using facts. They accuse courts of not using facts and making judgements based on an agenda.


From 9 to 11 minutes this guy is level headed.

Sounds to me like these people suffer from pandemic fatigue. They lack the patience to allow this virus to take its course.

This main speaker is a hoot. Here we are 13 minutes in and he is building up the narrative again that medical professionals cannot speak freely and must follow the covid plan put in place by governments. Essentially saying that people lack free will to speak openly or lack the intelligence to do so.

He should reflect on his own words when he says be “skeptical” about everything. Or when he says “public opinion matters”. Apparently he is unable to accept the majority of public opinion is in direct contrast to his beliefs.

He even picks on his own colleagues accusing them of fear to join his declaration. No mention that perhaps they looked into it and it doesn’t agree with them. They obviously lack the intelligence this one individual has.

He tries to draw a picture of the negativities of the vaccine. He plainly says the effects are in dispute but not zero. But don’t most drugs also state side effects…how many are zero?

Purpose of declaration:

1. For people to feel like they aren’t alone or crazy
2. For people to know there are lawyers willing to back them up. (Will this be pro Bono?)
3. A rallying point for people to get behind to stop covid

More squabbling about government and msm driving the fear of god in people, you know because people are dumb and can’t think for themselves.

They want to drive their narrative to give people a choice in beliefs. They don’t accept the current narrative.

The general population is suffering from hysteria and anxiety due to msm and government policies.

“Shame on you if you remain silent” and don’t fight the government narrative.

They end it real classy by fear mongering. Apparently Canada is no longer a free country.

Throughout the video they use generalizations and nothing specific to make their case understood. They don’t give any examples or cases.

It is a propaganda video, no denying that.

These were my thoughts. Feel free to watch and make your own conclusions because Canada is a free country. And while we may disagree on some points, we can all rally behind our right to believe what we want.
