Brown is a Conservative so the required evidence level is almost non existent (and they were probably diligently searching for it) and if he hadn't been ones boss and they were 19 or 20 instead of 18 (alcohol) it wouldn't matter except as an opinion he was a jerk piece. It should bother people on atleast some level but alot of people don't like thinking and that's what the media does for them so often. I'm disappointed that (according to media reports) there were rumours about his behaviour that pre-existed his appointment to the PC leadership, and yet it doesn't appear he was thoroughly vetted. These rumours were not from other political parties for gain, but from within, from their own people , the kind that should be investigated , fully, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
The news bit I saw, MacLeod said her concerns were made known and found to be unsubstantiated....I am of the opinion that the correct action was taken by the party, under the circumstances. The information was apparently out there, it needs to be investigated fully. If proven to be false, civil recourse should be in order. Unfortunately with all too many of these complaints as of late, it boils down to “he said, she said”. There is no way of proving or disproving the allegations. I think this taking down of Brown is Wynne's biggest mistake. She will be facing a new leader that voters will actually like. She tried to tarnish the brand but removed an obstacle to victory for the PC's.

I can only speak for the states and 95% of mainstream media are in the same echo chamber. The only one I trust is FOX and a few other independents (Ben Shapiro/DailyWire and IMO Brietbart is not as alt -right as many think it is). Again, Google retractions for different media outlets and see what you get. FOX is the most trusted in the US. All of these right siding outlets love to slam Trudeau as well.
